"Huisje, boompje, beestje"

Hola de nuevo! Después de más de tres semanas sin acceso 2.0 ya vuelvo a estar por aquí para contaros que hay de mi vida en Holanda. He titulado este post "huisje, boompje, beestje" (que significa "casa, árbol, animal") porque es un dicho en holandés que se refiere a la búsqueda de la estabilidad y el proceso que conlleva. Como en nuestro caso.

Desde que os escribiera la última vez, John y yo encontramos un pequeño apartamento en Apeldoorn y nos trasladamos al cabo de pocos días. No pude contaros nada porque tuvimos el tiempo justo de comprar los muebles y trasladarnos en un par de días. Pero ahora que ya estamos instalados y que tenemos acceso al mundo otra vez os enseño los sitios en los que hemos ido a pasear y la perrita de John a la que hemos acogido recientemente en casa, Fleur. De momento no he encontrado trabajo y los días se hacen muy lentos pero no dejo de buscar y de intentar ocupar el tiempo mientras voy aprendiendo el idioma…

La vida de ama de casa, sin serlo, no me gusta.

Hi all again! After more than three weeks without Internet access I’m back here to explain you what’s up with my life in the Netherlands. I titled this post "huisje, boompje, beestje" (meaning "house, tree, animal") because it is a saying in Dutch refering to the pursuit of stability and the process involved. As in our case.

Since I posted last time, John and I found a small apartment in Apeldoorn and moved after some days. I couldn’t tell you anything because we had no time buying the furniture and moving in a couple of days. But now that we have made ourselves comfortable and we have access to the world again I can show you the places where we have been walking these days and John’s dog, whose we have recently accommodated in our house. Fleur.

So far I haven’t found a job and days are really long but I don’t stop looking for something to do and spend my time while learning the language…

Housewife’s lifestyle, without being one of them, is not my thing.
